This system is designed for production lines that require color label printing on-demand, with linerless labels presented to a packaging line worker who quickly applies color labels to nearby products, including products moving on a conveyor belt. The QLS-4100 Xe Print and Peel prints a color label, removes the liner, and ejects and presents the label at the printer exit, where it waits to be "picked off" by a production line worker.

Ideal for system integration, the Print & Peel system comes with a native language/host protocol that allows programmers to address the label printer through major ERP systems or custom software programs. The system can be programmed to so that the correct color label for each product is printed at the correct workstation, at the correct time.

In the QLS-4100 Xe Print & Peel Workstation, the QLS-4100 Xe digital color label printer is integrated with a "Pullback" mechanism to wind printed color labels back under the printheads, while an integrated powered rewinder in the Workstation base takes up the label liner (label backing material) and advances "peeled labels" (labels with liner removed) out of the printer.

The system offers two standard operating modes:

Single Label Mode: This mode offers true on demand label printing, in which one color label is printed, its liner is rewound, and the peeled label is "presented" to the operator. Labels print without a "leader" or "trailer" of blank labels between printed labels.
Multiple Label Mode: In this mode, a batch of variable information labels are printed. The printer does not rewind after each color label is printed, but pauses until the operator presses the print button. This is the best option for scenarios in which the system is integrated with an automatic label applicator, or when the labels must be printed as fast as possible and presented to a production line worker.
